The cooking experience starts with a walk through the market to purchase and taste vegetables and fruits and spices. You will get to try lots of things at the market and could decide what you want to cook that morning for our lunch. Next take took a TukTuk ride to a home away from the business of the city, with monkeys swinging in the trees, mongoose and other animals wandering around in the gorgeous surroundings outside. Then it was time to get to work. You will be given step by step instructions on how to prepare some tasty local food. Indulge yourself in the wholesome experience of preparing traditional Sri lankan dishes in Kandy. The usual starting time of this experience is around 10 am. You will be taken to a local market by three-wheeler, while there you will have the opportunity to help select the vegetables and spices, etc., this will also give you the chance to see the daily life of Sri lankans in the local market and maybe even have a chat with the vendors if you like. Once, we have selected the items we will head to a local home in order to start the preparation of the meal. Here you will get the opportunity to have a hands-on experience with a knowledgeable and experienced instructor. receive comprehensive demonstration on the traditional preparation of some of the most widely enjoyed sri Lankan meals, cooking techniques and nutritional values. You can also take part in the process of preparing the meal. Once the meal is done you can enjoy the lunch right there where your delicious meal was cooked and then head back to the hotel.

Galle is not just famous for its lighthouse and Fort it had also gained popularity for its southern comfort food. Why not pick up some good old-fashioned cooking skills while in Galle. We would be happy to offer you the chance to learn to cook some tasty southern favorites like “Malu ambulthiyal”(a spicy peppery fish dish) that is oh so yummy, or traditional rice and curry made in authentic Sri lankan style.
We usually begin at around 10 am, We will whisk you away in a three-wheeler to the local market. While there you can help us select vegetables, spices etc, you could also take this time to have a look at what regular Sri Lankan life is, as locals go about their day. If you are up to it maybe even take a little time to have some friendly chit chat with the local vendors. Once we have selected the items, we will take you back to a local home in order to start the meal. This experience usually begins at around 10 am, embark on this journey in a traditional bullock cart that will pick you and take you through a rural village. As you traverse through the village you will be offered a glimpse into the village life of Sri Lanka and you will have an opportunity to engage with the local community. Upon the end of your ride in the bullock cart you will be taken to a local home. Here you will get the opportunity to have a hands-on experience with a knowledgeable and experienced instructor. receive comprehensive demonstration on the traditional preparation of some of the most widely enjoyed sri Lankan meals, cooking techniques and nutritional values. Join in the fun and maybe help to scrape a coconut get your hands in there and be part of the cooking experience.
