After breakfast, begin a scenic journey towards Ella, travelling via Nuwara Eliya. En route, enjoy views of tea plantations, waterfalls, and misty hills. You may experience a short and scenic train ride along this route, subject to availability. Along the way, cultural highlights such as the Dambulla Cave Temple can be included if preferred, before continuing onward. Arrive in Ella and check in at Tip Top Hotel, Ella, where you can relax and enjoy the cool mountain atmosphere.
Spend the day discovering Ella’s most iconic attractions. Visit the famous Nine Arch Bridge hidden among lush greenery, hike up Little Adam’s Peak for panoramic views, and explore Ravana Falls. The relaxed pace and natural beauty make Ella a perfect place to enjoy both light adventure and leisure.
Today offers more in-depth exploration of Ella’s landscapes. You may hike to Ella Rock for stunning sunrise or daytime views, walk sections of the Pekoe Trail towards Demodara Station, and see the famous Demodara Loop, where the railway line curves ingeniously through the hills. Return to your hotel for a restful evening.
Depart Ella and drive to Udawalawe National Park for a half-day safari experience. Udawalawe is renowned for its large elephant population and open landscapes, offering excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. You will also visit the Elephant Transit Home, where rescued baby elephants are rehabilitated. After the safari, continue your journey to the south coast and check in at Suites Lanka, Hikkaduwa, located right by the beach.
