Your journey begins with arrival in Sri Lanka and a transfer to Sigiriya, staying at Arika Villa. ITINERARY

Day 1 : Arrival & Transfer to Sigiriya (3.5 hours) (Overnight at Arika Villa, Sigiriya)

Upon arrival at Colombo International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed and begin your journey to Sigiriya, a comfortable drive of approximately three and a half hours. As you travel inland, the scenery gradually changes from urban landscapes to rural villages and open countryside. After checking in at Arika Villa, Sigiriya, the remainder of the day is free to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of Sri Lanka’s Cultural Triangle.

Day 2 : Sigiriya & Dambulla Exploration (At Arika Villa, Sigiriya)

Today is dedicated to discovering some of Sri Lanka’s most iconic heritage sites. Climb the magnificent Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its ancient frescoes, landscaped water gardens, and breathtaking views from the summit. Later, visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, home to impressive Buddha statues and centuries-old cave paintings. You may also choose a sunrise or sunset hike to Pidurangala Rock for panoramic views of the Sigiriya landscape. For a more immersive cultural experience, you can explore a nearby village or take part in a traditional Sri Lankan cooking class.

Day 3 :Sigiriya to Kitulgala (4.5 hours) (Overnight at Palmstone Retreat, Kitulgala)

After breakfast, travel to Kitulgala, a lush rainforest destination known for adventure and nature. The journey takes approximately four and a half hours. Upon arrival, check in at Palmstone Retreat, Kitulgala, surrounded by dense greenery and river scenery. You may enjoy thrilling white-water rafting on the Kelani River, take a refreshing swim, or simply relax and soak in the tranquil rainforest atmosphere.

Day 4 :Kitulgala to Ella (4 hours) (Overnight at Tiptop Ella, Ella)

Enjoy a scenic drive from Kitulgala to Ella, one of the most picturesque journeys in Sri Lanka, taking around four hours. Along the way, you will pass tea plantations, misty hills, and cascading waterfalls. After arriving in Ella, check in at Tiptop Ella. In the evening, you can relax in Ella town or visit the beautiful Ravana Falls, especially striking after rainfall.

Day 5 : Exploring Ella (At Tiptop Ella, Ella)

Spend the day discovering Ella’s natural beauty and laid-back charm. Hike up Little Adam’s Peak for breathtaking views, visit the iconic Nine Arch Bridge nestled among lush tea fields, or challenge yourself with the more adventurous Ella Rock hike. Optional activities include zip-lining across the valley, visiting a local tea factory, or joining a Sri Lankan cooking class. The cool climate and relaxed atmosphere make Ella a favourite among travellers.

Day 6 : Ella to Udawalawe (2 hours) (Overnight at Centuria Wild, Udawalawe)

After breakfast, travel from Ella to Udawalawe, a journey of approximately two hours. Check in at Centuria Wild, Udawalawe. In the afternoon, enjoy an exciting jeep safari in Udawalawe National Park, one of the best places in Sri Lanka to see wild elephants. You will also visit the Elephant Transit Home, where rescued baby elephants are cared for before being released back into the wild.

Day 7 : Udawalawe to Mirissa (2 hours) (Overnight at Mirissa Beach Villa, Mirissa)

A scenic drive of about two hours takes you from Udawalawe to Mirissa on the south coast. Upon arrival, check in at Mirissa Beach Villa and spend the rest of the day relaxing by the beach, enjoying the ocean breeze, and soaking in the laid-back coastal atmosphere.

Day 8 : Exploring Mirissa (At Mirissa Beach Villa, Mirissa)

Enjoy a full day at leisure in Mirissa. Depending on the season (December to April), you may choose to go whale watching early in the morning. Other options include surfing, snorkeling, swimming, or visiting popular spots such as Coconut Tree Hill and the hidden Secret Beach. The day is yours to enjoy at a relaxed pace.

Day 9 : Galle Fort Day Trip (At Mirissa Beach Villa, Mirissa)

Take a day trip to the historic city of Galle, approximately one and a half hours away. Explore the UNESCO-listed Galle Fort on foot, visit the lighthouse, browse boutique shops and art galleries, and relax in charming cafés. Optional stops along the way include a cinnamon plantation, a turtle hatchery, or observing traditional stilt fishermen along the southern coast before returning to Mirissa in the evening.

Day 10 : Mirissa to Colombo Airport (3 hours) (Departure)

After breakfast, transfer to Colombo International Airport, a journey of approximately three hours. Depending on your flight time, there may be an opportunity to stop for lunch or some last-minute shopping along the way, bringing your Sri Lankan journey to a memorable close.
